Second Trimester of Pregnancy has been filing treating me much better than the first trimester! I am able to finally get a little bit of my appetite back! I can also eat more meat/protein and greens instead of eating just carbs all day long and sweets. Of course I still LOVEEEE my sweets but at least I can feed baby girl some nutritious stuff. We have picked out a name for her too and I can’t wait to share until our baby shower!
My belly has grown alot but I am still able to have enough energy to go for walks and to work out 3 times a week which I am so happy about. Being mobile for me is super important and I want to try to stay healthy and fit as much as possible during my pregnancy. My boobs and belly are growing huge and they are sore! Also I am finally feeling baby girl kick, flutter around in my stomach which is still a trip! She startles me sometimes cause the kick is so hard!
I am literally living off of Half Baked Ice Cream, Berries, Cereal and Bread.
Since I was visiting my sister and niece in Irvine we went to try a very popular Vietnamese infused brunch spot! My friend Christine recommended coming here she said they have delicious food and really good coffee drinks so I said of course I wanna go and try it out!! Definitely make a reservation cause this place is packed even on a regular week day! We made a reservation for 11:15am but still had to wait 30 min to wait for the big party to leave so we can take that table.
This place is more of a sharing type and everything is so decadent and heavy so I highly suggest to order different things and share!!
We got the Beef Tongue Fried Rice, Bone Marrow Toast, Banh Mi Chao (Filet Mignon), The “DAO” and the Crab Toast. For the coffee the waiter suggested to try the Egg coffee Ca Phe Trung and the Ube coffee Ca Phe Dua Ube.
This spot is pretty pricy and I think it’s a place to try once but I don’t think I would go often and crave this type of food.
SOOOOOO we finally bought a HOUSE!!! It’s been a huge dream of mine and it seriously has been such a journey to get a home. The house market in the bay area is insane its sooo expensive and super competitive! But we DID IT!!! I still think its so surreal but we will be able to give our daughter a home to go home to!! So I am so excited!! We celebrated at Alexander’s Steak House and it was such a treat! Literally Alexander’s is my hubby and I’s favorite steak house!
We always get their dry aged t bone steak, hamachi shots and the soufflé! Since I am pregnant I got a halibut since I can’t eat raw meat and raw seafood =( I always like my steaks medium rare and right now during pregnancy I HATE dry meat so no steak for me or hamachi shots!!
We took the mommas to eat here to celebrate mothers day also and they were happy!
My pictures and video literally explains how amazing the food is!! We got pretty much all the sides LOL! Since that’s pretty much the only thing I can eat. Love their truffle mac n cheese, croissants, mashed potatoes and truffle fries!!
This literally will be our last fancy meal in a while!! We are broke now from purchasing a home and now need to save up for baby girl!!
So I was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis in March 2021 because an ultrasound technician was able to figure out that my cysts were actually Endometriomas. My Endometriomas would grow at an exponential rate each month and was causing me sooooo much pain! I never felt this type of stabbing pain where you felt like you could pass out and would cry in pain and agony all night. For some reason the Endometriomas would flare up at night and you could feel the pain at an exponential rate. For a whole month straight I was unable to sleep! So it affected my daily life as well since I couldn’t sleep well. I took a lof of pain medications during this time and pain medications affect my body negatively.
But I was finally able to get a Laparoscopy at Stanford Hospital with Dr. Deirdre Lum in July 2021. I was so lucky to be able to get pushed up to get my laparoscopy. I was in so much pain that I felt like I seriously couldn’t live with the pain anymore. Dr. Lum is so busy and actually specializes in doing Endometriosis Surgeries so just getting an appointment with her initially took forever! So I was so thankful that she squeezed me in to do my surgery.
I went to Stanford in the morning and didn’t leave until 9PM. The whole team was really nice from the nurses to all the doctors! They really helped ease my anxiety about surgery. The hubby couldn’t be with me since it was COVID times so I literally had to go through the whole experience by myself which was scary. But it was nice that the nurses and doctors were patient and explained everything to me! Dr. Lum’s team had her the attendee, a resident and a medical student and her surgical nurse. Then there was the anesthesia attendee with her resident. The whole team was women which I really thought was bad ass!!
During the surgery it took her 5 hours to get out all the Endometriosis in my bowel, uterus and ovaries! She said it was everywhere and even in my diaphragm. She didn’t get rid of the endometriosis in my diaphragm since we never discussed it since I never mentioned having pain there. My bowels was stuck with my uterus and that was one of the reasons why I was in so much pain! Also I constantly had to pee too cause I had Endometriosis in my vagina. It really affected my whole entire body!
I remember getting pushed into the OR room and getting transferred to this little table and then that was it and waking up in a recovery bed! I didn’t feel a thing and it was actually not as scary as I thought! I woke up feeling dizzy from the anesthesia but was able to pee right away which meant that as soon as I pee I could get discharged! So I peed and then told the nurse I would like to be discharged and then changed and the hubby was already downstairs waiting for me to pick me up to go home!
I was so scared to get the surgery but so glad I did it cause I actually was pain free afterwards and my recovery time was so quick I literally walked around right after my surgery and didn’t need much help. The hubby stayed home to take care of me the first couple of days cause I was on crazy pain meds but I felt fine and didn’t need much assistant. I felt like walking around helped me recover faster instead of just laying in bed all day. With in a week I was pretty much back to normal and didn’t feel any pain.
Now I have 4 small little scars but every time I look at them it reminds me of what a warrior I am and that I can get through anything!
So for a while I was really lost with life and super depressed having to go through infertility since 2019 and then going through so much pain with Endometriosis. I was following Paleomg and she was talking about how she did an Akashic reading and that really changed her life and got lots of answers that she needed. This sounded perfect for me since I just needed some type of answers during this dark time in my life! So I actually looked into it and booked a session. I did an Akashic Records reading on July 5, 2021 and it was one of the best experiences ever! I had my Akashic Records reading with Kimber Tiernan.
If you don’t know what an Akashic Records reading is it is a person who has the ability to open your records to your soul and your soul path. So the gifted person can gain information from the time your soul was created, about your past lives, present situations, and future possibilities as well. It’s always revealed to you what you need to learn in that moment, at that time, to support you on your journey in life!
The Akashic records are a unique modality. The information is 100 percent focused on that person whose records are open, so if you want to learn about someone else, you have to first ask for consent to go into their records. Anything you learn about someone else will be through the perception of your record or your interpretation of that person. You don’t learn about anyone else’s soul’s path.
You can also use the records for business. You can use it for a creative process. You can open up the record of a physical space by entering the address as opposed to the name of the person into the prayer. If you’re going to go in just for yourself, you can ask about career, finances, love, inspiration. People have used them to write books and screenplays. What you can learn in that space is infinite.
So during my Akashic reading I was able to ask all the questions that have been running through my mind for the past two years. Am I going to be able to have a child? Is IVF going to work for me? If I do get pregnant will it be a boy or girl? Just having these big questions answered for me totally helped me and gave me hope! I was able to finally trust in the universe and believe that everything will be ok!
Our session was an hour and we just kept talking about everything and anything about my whole life and what I needed more answers with. After my session I knew I was going to be ok and everything started getting better from then on! It turned on a light switch for me and totally changed my mindset and attitude. It showed me that who I am and how I perceive my life to be is on me! If I am gonna keep being negative I will keep attracting negative energy. So I changed my mindset and learned and practiced to be more positive. That was when I really started to get into meditation and started walking and figuring out what was good for me!
Also during my session I was able to discover that my life is just so much more than just being a Patent Paralegal it pushed me to do my calling of helping others through Health and Life Coaching! This is how it lead me to do my blog and to start Happy Vibes LLC! Just in one session it changed so much for me!
I really believe that you are put here on this universe for a reason and everyone has a purpose! Without purpose in life then there really is no point to life! Just by channeling this though process it totally made sense to me and helped me get through life and led me to the life I ever wanted and dreamt about! I am finally now pregnant with my baby girl which Kimber did predict! Also now I am here actually a certified Health and Life Coach!
If you really need help finding your spiritual side I can help you with this and really tap into what is going on with your life! Trust me I was so lost but I found myself again and its ok to be lost but the thing is finding a person to help you get out of it is so important! Believe me you may feel stuck and lost but there is always someone who is willing to be here for you and wants the best for you and I am that person!! So reach out to me if you ever need anything!! I believe that I am put on this earth to help others!
Bird’s nest is a well-known delicacy in Chinese cuisine, it is a widely consumed food with health benefits. Especially amongst pregnant women, the edible bird’s nest contain essential nutrients which potentially benefit the baby and mother during pregnancy. So in Chinese tradition it is really good for mothers to eat Birds Nest Soup during pregnancy and one of the main reasons is to eat it to help with baby’s skin! But here are 6 reasons on why you should eat Bird’s Nest Soup:
Relieve stretch marks. The stomach swells during pregnancy, appearing of stretch marks are normal. Bird’s nest help to relieve stretch marks due to the natural collagen which able to smooth and supple skin for the mother-to-be.
Promoting healthy growth to the foetus. With restorative properties, bird’s nest can stimulate cell growth and increasing blood supply while providing rich antioxidants to help eliminate free radicals.
Promote the overall development of children. Glycine substances in a bird’s nest can help reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women.
Reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue. With tryptophan, a precursor of serotonin and melatonin in bird’s nest, which gives antidepressant effects that able to help reduce stress, anxiety in mothers.
Baby that free of lungs diseases. A mother who consumes bird’s nest regularly can give birth to a baby that is free of lung diseases.

Consuming a bird’s nest during the first trimester able to helps strengthen the mother’s body. The early stages of pregnancy are the most important period which is the stage for the foetus to form as the baby. Bird’s nest help enhances mother’s health, nourish good foetus for healthy and intelligent children.
For me I started eating Birds Nest Soup in the Second Trimester cause I was super nauseous in my first trimester and knew that I would not be able to keep it down and so it would be a total waste for me to eat it! Now I am eating this twice a week to try to gain all the nutrients I can from the birds nest soup!
Make sure when you buy birds nest there are fake ones and so make sure you get the real thing! The real birds nest will have small feathers in the product and is really costly! I bought my whole box for $800 bucks at a Chinese herbal medicine store. Also the birds nest should taste and smell eggy! It’s very gelatin like and taste and smells like egg whites. But it tastes so much better when you add rock sugar into it which helps mask the eggy taste!
To make Birds Nest Soup :
Soak the bird’s nest overnight in cool water.
Bring a pot with 6 cups of water to a low simmer.
Keep the heat on low – you don’t want a hard, rolling boil (which would break the delicate bird’s nest).
Cook for 30 minutes – 2 hours.
Taste the bird’s nest – it should be soft, gelatinous, slippery-like.
LASTLY! You should eat this on an empty stomach either right when you wake up or right before bed to gain the most benefits from Birds Nest Soup!
I really believe in Chinese traditions and have seen benefits from my twin sister and cousin doing this during their pregnancies and see that their kids have really beautiful skin!!
I am so happy to announce that since trying to conceive since June 2019 I am finally pregnant! My due date is September 23, 2022 and we are excited to announce that we are having a girl! It has been such a journey to even have our miracle rainbow baby girl!
I was infertile for two years and then in 2021 I was able to find out that I had Endometriosis and that was causing my infertility. I got a laparoscopy done in July 2021 and then healed for a month from my surgery and then started IVF in September 2021. My whole IVF journey took 2 months and in October 2021 I got pregnant via IVF but got a miscarriage two weeks after my embryo transfer.
I was so depressed and was super sad that my baby didn’t stick but was happy that I even got to experience pregnancy even if it was a short amount of time. After this the hubby and I took a 3 month break to really have my body heal and then in December 2021 we conceived and then found out I was pregnant in January 2022.
I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and am so happy to make it to my second trimester. I thought I would never get to this point. My first trimester was so hard I was super nauseous and tired. I literally felt like a whole different person. I couldn’t even function and I always had a foggy brain.
My diet was the biggest change I literally couldn’t eat any meat or veggies and that was my favorite foods before pregnancy. I always ate a well rounded meal where I would have veggies, protein and beans. But in my first trimester I barely ate and could only eat carbs and berries. I couldn’t handle anything else if I tried to eat something else I would throw it up. It was such a miserable feeling especially when I threw up! I hate throwing up I felt like a demon was coming out of me lol!
Even though I was feeling so shitty in my first trimester I was so happy to be able to feel all the pregnancy symptoms! I didn’t think too much about it since I was in survival mode every day but looking at my little pregnancy belly I am so grateful and happy.
It feels so surreal for me still but it became more of a reality when I went to get my first check up during my 8 week of pregnancy! I was able to see my little baby bean and hear the heartbeat! I literally was in tears and couldn’t believe that my baby bean was in my belly!
Then at my 10 weeks of pregnancy I went to go get my blood work done to get genetic testing and to find out the sex of my baby! So at 12 weeks I was able to do a gender reveal with my immediate family and found out it was a girl it was such a great day!
At first the months felt so slow cause I was so anxious and nervous that I was going to lose my baby due to a miscarriage but now going into my second trimester I am loving pregnancy and feeling so happy and blessed!!
When I got diagnosed with Endometriosis in March 2021 I was looking for any natural or holistic ways to try and help my symptoms with Endometriosis! I’ve been following Juli Bauer Roth also known as @paleomg who actually did this protocol herself and saw great results with her acne. So I looked deeper into this since I also was having issues with acne due to hormone imbalance from having Endometriosis. When I dug deeper into this protocol I found that this protocol has naturally helped women with Endometriosis as well! So I knew this was a calling from the Universe that I had to do this!
With Endometriosis there is no cure so trying to find anything to help reduce inflammation and pain from Endometriosis is a rare find. So I googled Karen Hurd and found that she had her own website which I will link below. I found a bunch of podcasts and listened to ALL of them! I also found Unique Hammond who shares her story and experience with Crohn’s disease and over came her Crohn’s disease with the Bean Protocol. So hearing about her inspiring story gave me hope that this could help with Endometriosis!
If you haven’t heard about the Bean Protocol this is a protocol where you eat a bunch of beans!!! With the Bean Protocol, you’re simply adding beans into your daily routine because the beans contain soluble (and insoluble) fiber, which clings to toxins in the body so you can excrete them and get rid of them. When you have toxins/excess hormones in your body, but you aren’t getting enough soluble fiber, the body simply recycles those toxins instead of excreting them. Example – I have excess stress hormones in my body, but before the Bean Protocol I wasn’t eating enough soluble fiber so my body continued to recycle them and the body would purge those toxins through the skin – aka acne.
When you’re following the Bean Protocol, you’ll want to consume lots of legumes, leafy greens, onions, garlic, cabbage, and more – these foods help your body detox the toxins out. And you’ll obviously still eat lots of your normal veggies, animal based protein, and healthy fats. But you’ll also want to remove the foods/drinks in your life that cause a hormonal or histamine response. That means removing –
Sugar & sugar substitutes
Factory farmed meats
When I started the Bean Protocol, I went hard core and cut out everything for the first month. I stopped drinking coffee, I removed all sugar and alcohol which was so hard for me since I love drinking and eating sweets! I also stopped eating any processed meats like prosciutto or pepperoni, etc., and cut out all dairy. It was also hard to cut out gluten since I love bread and pasta so much! Trust me this protocol was so hard cause I LOVE FOOD and eating and it felt like I was cutting happiness from my life. But I knew I was on a mission and I wanted to do anything possible that would help with my over all health!
So after doing the Bean Protocol for a month I could see a slight change in my acne. I knew it will take a long time to see any affects with PMS and Endometriosis since there were so many backed up hormones that would take time to get rid of.
Here are pictures of my face before starting the Bean Protocol! I have so many pimples due to hormone imbalance. I never had any issues with acne until I got off of birth control since I was trying to conceive.
Here are pictures of my face two months after being on the Bean Protocol! I Started seeing my acne clear up!! So I knew that whatever I was doing was working!!
Being super strict on the Bean Protocol was too hard so I actually lightened my eating up after a month of being strict! I for sure would eat beans 1/4 cup of beans 6 times a day and then I would at least eat veggies and get proper protein at every meal so breakfast lunch and dinner I would always have some type of beans, vegetable and beans.
Here’s a little breakdown of what my days look like on the Bean Protocol –
Breakfast with spinach, protein powder, and 1/4 cup of beans
Snack 1 – 1/4 cup beans
Lunch with some type of green veggies, animal based proteins, and 1/4 cup of beans
Snack 2 – 1/4 cup beans
Dinner with some type of green veggies, animal based proteins, and 1/4 cup of beans
Snack 3 – 1/4 cup beans
Below is what my lunch and dinner often looks like – aka what every meal looks like throughout my days. I don’t cook so I like making things that are super easy! So the protein I usually have the hubby make over the weekend and then I just heat it up in the microwave!
Here are bean snacks that I would eat if I got sick of eating straight up black beans!
So now being on the Bean Protocol my face has cleared up tremendously! Here is my acne now a days! I know I still have blemishes here and there according to how I have been eating! Since I am not strict on this protocol I can’t expect perfect skin! But I am so much happier after being on this protocol and has really helped me balance my hormones so much better!
Also this protocol helps with infertility and I really believe that the Bean Protocol will eventually help prep my body for a baby and will help with Endometriosis! Would I recommend this to people?!! YES!!! Seriously what is there to lose! You are just giving up some type of foods but if you want to be the healthiest version of you and your goal is to have a baby I really believe that this protocol would help!
If you want to learn more about the Bean Protocol, here are the resources I used:
I’ve booked an appointment on the phone with Unique once and it’s so nice to have someone to answer your questions about how to make the Bean Protocol fit your lifestyle. She suggested psyllium husk instead of snacking on beans in between meals cause I was always super full and couldn’t consume so much since I am a petite person.
I bought Karen’s Ecourse on Endometriosis and found it super helpful! She had premade videos you get to watch at your own pace and can re watch at any time. She was super detailed about how the whole protocol works and why it would work! I thought that it was worth the $250.00
But just FYI – the Bean Protocol doesn’t just help with Endometriosis and Infertility, it helps with SO FREAKING MUCH!! Acne, eczema, arthritis, fibromyalgia, lyme disease, menopause, anxiety, asthma, hashimotos, toxic mold, diabetes, depression, and more. It’s all about getting toxins out of the body so your body can thrive. Just literally by eating beans can help your health in so much positive ways is amazing!! I hope this post helps you and let me know if you have any questions I might be able to answer or lead you in the right direction!
Finally being in my 30s I have been officially diagnosed with Endometriosis! I had my period at the age of 13 and had to wait until I was 32 to be diagnosed with Endometriosis. The average time for getting a proper diagnosis on Endometriosis is about 6-10 years! It literally took almost 22 years to figure out that I had Endo! But I already knew in middle school that something wasn’t right with my periods. I had sooo much blood and big blood clots that I knew it wasn’t normal. But my doctors kept telling me that it’s just a bad period or that it was normal to have that.
It took a long journey for me to find out I had Endometriosis was because I started taking birth control when I was 20 and got off of it when I was trying to conceive (TTC) with my husband at 31. So birth control helped mask my Endometriosis symptoms where my periods were regulated and it was more on the light side. But once I got off of birth control that’s when my Endometriosis symptoms started showing. I had light brown spotting before my periods and then during my periods I would have 3-4 days of heavy bleeding where I would cramp up, bloat where I got a huge endo belly, bad PMS and wouldn’t be able to function! I would need to use a heating pad and take pain medication to relieve my pain. My periods lasted at least 7 days which is super long as well. Before when I was on birth control it would only be 5 days.
So after a year of not taking birth control I started forming cysts on my ovaries. On Thanksgiving day 2020 I had an Endo flare that I was in so much pain that I started throwing up and my stomach was in excruciating pain. It lasted a whole hour where I was just crying, panting on the bathroom floor just trying to breath to just stay alive cause I was in so much pain. Luckily I was blessed to be around family that night that my sisters were there rubbing my belly which helped relieve some of the pain.
The following day I was still feeling pain in my stomach so I wanted to make sure I was ok. I went to the emergency room to get it checked out and the ER told me they just found a 3cm cyst on my left ovary and that I would need to just get it checked with my OBGYN.
So I booked an appointment with an OBGYN at Stanford hospital with a Nurse Practitioner since that was the earliest appointment that I would be able to get with any kind of doctor since this was COVID times. So I had to wait until January 2021 to see the OBGYN and when I went in I literally asked her if I had Endometriosis and she straight up said No most likely not it was just a bad period. I was like ok fine and was happy that it wasn’t Endometriosis. So they kept monitoring the cyst with ultra sounds. I would have to wait another month to get an ultrasound and at that appointment they found my cyst growing and then they found another cyst that grew on my right side.
They continued to monitor my cysts and finally I went back to get another ultrasound and that ultrasound technician found out that they were Endometriomas! So that was the day that I finally got diagnosed with Endometriosis. I knew I had Endometriosis cause the episode that happened during Thanksgiving totally screamed Endometriosis and I knew it in my gut that it was.
So I was lucky in a sense that I didn’t have to get surgery done to see if I had Endometriosis since that is the only way to really diagnose someone with Endo. So with finding out that my cysts were Endometriomas that meant for sure I had Endometriosis. Since I have endometriomas it is considered that I have Stage 4 of Endometriosis which is the worse stage unfortunately.
The Endometriomas caused me so much pain that I randomly got Endo Flares all the time and at random times. I literally couldn’t sleep at night cause I was in so much pain! I even took pain medication and it wouldn’t help! You never know when you will get a flare up and it takes hours for medicine to kick in and waiting for the pain meds to kick in is so painful. I went 2 months without having adequate sleep since I was in so much pain all the time.
Finally I was able to get my laparoscopy with an Endo Surgeon! Dr. Lum is amazing and was able to squeeze my surgery in earlier since I was in so much pain. Thanks to her I am now pain free for now. Endometriosis is a forever disease and will never go away! So sad that there is no cure for it! But at least the laparoscopy has relieved my pain for now and I am grateful for Dr. Lum!
